RFID Technology Combined with Mold Industry

The RFID mold electrode management system can better realize the intelligent management of the mold, reduce the professional skills requirements of the mold operator, and greatly improve, reducing the factors that are considered mistakes. This effectively improves the increase in the rate of marrying machine equipment.

With the rapid increase in the number of molds for diversification of enterprise products, the processing of one mold often requires tens or even hundreds of electrodes. Electrodes have become a key resource in the mold manufacturing industry. This project is to install RFID tags on electrode holders, associate electrode holders information and handheld RFID readers. It is expected to reduce 15% to 35% of copper raw materials and reduce 15% to 40% of CNC machine operators. The utilization rate of CNC and EDM machines is about 5%.

Utilizing the unique ID number of the RFID UHF tag, it corresponds to the mold and writes the mold information into the tag, including the mold type, serial number, production date, mold position, model stock, and processing materials. The RFID RFID tag on the mould is read by an RFID UHF multi-channel reader, and the read information is transmitted to the application system for verification. A judgement is made and the mold is quickly searched.
