Loading Box Manufacturers Use RFID to Achieve Efficient Logistics and Warehousing Management

Euro Pool System is a logistics service provider that provides customers with reusable standard packaging in the fresh supply chain in Europe. The products are mainly used in the manufacturer of loading boxes for fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products. Now Euro Pool System is using passive UHF RFID tags and RFID readers to improve its logistics and inventory management processes.

Euro Pool is headquartered in Belgium and has its own factories in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic. The company began to pay attention to RFID as early as 2003. Euro Pool System engineering and development manager Henry Lok said that he hoped to use RFID technology to simplify logistics processes and improve processing efficiency.

RFID helps Euro Pool System realize an efficient logistics process for recyclable crates. The solution is to install UHF RFID tags with ideal adhesive strength in recyclable crates, with a reading distance up to 25m; UHF RFID readers, RFID antennas and barcode scanners for the reading crates are installed at the fixed RFID inspection points of the cleaning station; and to use middleware to communicate with different hardware components, such as RFID readers, barcode systems, PLC equipment, etc., and the standard software of the two warehouses can be easily deployed in other facilities in Europe.
